Little Flower Library

Open after 9:30 and Noon Masses on Sundays and

30 minutes before and after 5:30PM Mass on Thursdays.

Our new parish library is dedicated to helping parishioners enrich their spiritual life in Christ, deepen their knowledge of the Catholic Church and the Faith, guide them in answering the call to holiness and fostering an environment that invites and promotes discipleship through an array of Catholic books, audio, and video presentations.

St. Paul tells us we must learn to put on the mind of Christ.  If we are not in union with Christ we are left to ourselves. Scary! Our minds are clouded and confused by the evil one and sometimes our own families. Just as we discover genuine freedom through obedience to God, we will find our Christ selves — and our right minds — when we put on the mind of Christ. Reading Catholic books and enlightening our minds is one way of putting on the mind of Christ.

It is in the Ladies Auxiliary Room next to Fathers carport.

Open for 45 minutes after every weekend Mass.

Someone said: “Bad books have made many sinners and good books have made many saints.” The goal of our parish library is to promote reading material that has the power to transform one’s life in their walk toward sainthood one book, DVD, CD at a time! We all know Catholics need more intellectual formation than a Sunday homily alone can provide. Even in the era of digital media, hard-copy books play an important role in intellectual formation. Spiritual reading is the main source of food that nourishes our prayer life. It can sustain, strengthen, and inform our prayer. It also teaches us principles of Christian growth.

Help:

Donations

Our library has been entirely donated through the generous hearts of our parishioners. When we know the donor, we put their name on the donor list and ask readers to pray for these donors every time they open one of our books to read. This includes anonymous donors. Books may also be donated in the name of a loved one. If you prefer, you may donate money to purchase new books. We still desperately need bookcases.. Donations welcomed.  Maybe there is an Eagle Scout looking for a project?

Library Organization

The library is organized to encourage browsing by topic of interest. You need not know an author or even a title but merely what you are interested in. Church History? Scripture Study? Prayer? Lives of Saints? Apologetics? Or maybe great leisure reading? Wouldn’t it be awesome to introduce your child to some Catholic Saints?

Each Bookcase is arranged by topic and the spine of the book has a color dot that corresponds with the topic.
