Advent 2018 is here! The first Sunday of Advent is December 2nd, 2018. Advent is a liturgical season that prepares us for the Lord’s Second Coming in glory at the end of time, and it prepares us to celebrate his first coming at Christmas. During the liturgical season of Advent, we use the liturgical color of violet—the color of preparation, fasting, and penance. The last day of Advent is December 24th, 2018. Then follows the Christmas Season, which goes from December 25th through January 13th, 2019 the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.
